Viva Las Vegas!!

Well we took a 3 day trip to Vegas and had a blast!!! So be prepared to view lots of pic's. The weather was perfect and the food was great. We stayed at The Mandalay Bay Hotel, which had an awesome pool. There was a wave pool, lazy river and kiddie pool and best of all...sand! We also went to The Shark Reef Aquarium and got to touch live stingrays! We ate at a Cafe called The Rain Forest that would have random thunder storms and the animals would come to life. We also ate at Cheesecake Factory in Ceaser's Forum...had lunch with my sister in law and neices who live in Vegas. Our friends were there and happened to be at the same hotel with their kids so we hung out with them and probably walked 4 miles each night. The kids loved all the lights on the strip and were excited to be out til midnight..they were so good! No fighting til we got home! So it was a real vacation for me!!!! We did some shopping and the kids LOVED FAO Schwartz and all the toys...On our way out of town we stopped at the Las Vegas Temple and I was amazed at how beautiful and green the grounds were! It was so peaceful and a great way to end the trip. So now back to the real world. We were all so sad to leave..but in less than a month and a half the kids will be out for summer...so more fun will be had!! Enjoy the pic's..

p.s. Mom and dad if you double click on the pictures it should pull it up large so you can see it better...love you

The Zoo....and a good reminder..

Well it is Spring! We took our first trip to the zoo on Saturday. The weather was perfect and we had fun, fun, fun!!! Ice cream and kettle corn completed the trip. Taylor brought one of her friends from school named Cynthia. She is from Mexico and is so sweet. She was telling us how her family went back home for 2 months and planted on their land. I asked her what it was like and where she liked living better. She said Mexico because most of her family still lives there. I was struck by how at such a young age she was so humble. She lives in a trailer type home with 10 of her family members. Her parents and brothers and a sister in law and 2 babies. It is crazy for her to see all the big houses and she couldn't understand how families with 1 or 2 kids had these huge houses. In Mexico if they want hot water it gets heated by the sun. We have so much here that we take for granted everyday. I am so grateful to my husband for all his hard work. I never want to be one of "those people" who want more and more...no matter how much money we have. I don't want to keep up with my neighbors..competing. And I am grateful to a 10 year old girl who reminded me of how much we really have......

Products and more products!

So I am a total product junkie and I thought I would share a few of my absolute favorite "beauty" products that actually work! And if any of you have some you would like to share I would love to hear from you! (Even though I am 39 I look 21..ha ha that's for you Lisa! I am totally joking about the age thing.) I am very picky about things I use because I want them to work. I want to age gracefully and be healthy, and I had a freckle last year removed that was A-Typical so now I am even more cautious. #1 is an important one. So here is my list...
1. NIA 24
This is a product made my Mentor (they also make implants)that is only available in a plastic surgons office. It has Niacin that helps with sun damage you have and prevents future damage. You can buy the cleanser and exfolient, but I recomend the lotion and the sunscreen. The sunscreen is so light and I wear it everyday all year around. And you will see an improvement in your skin texture.
2.DONNA KAREN CASMERE MIST DEODORANT
Now I read about this in Glamour Mag. but didn't give it a second thought. I was at Nordie's and a woman working that I know was telling me about it. So I decided to try it. LOVE,LOVE,LOVE it!!!!! It smells so yummy (I love it when I lift my arm at the gym and I smell so good) and it feels like cashmere going on....So soft! I promise you will love it!
3.DIORSHOW MASCARA BY DIOR
Who knew you could have such great lashes! After my lash extension mishap..this mascara was a life saver! Long and thick without clumps. Best I have ever used in my whole life! And I have tried them all!
4.MAC CREAM BLUSH IN BRIT WIT
A color so soft and can be worn by blonds and brunetts. Great spring color..
5.JUICY TUBES BY LANCOME IN SPRING FLING
So juicy and a great spring gloss. Barely a hint of pink (no need for color under it)smells delicious and can be worn by all.
6.PUREOLOGY SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER
So great for your hair. Especially for us that do any color. A little goes a long way. It will last you forever. Definatly one of the best out there.
7.NANO BY PUREOLOGY
This is a treat for your hair! So full of moisture. I only use it once maybe twice a week. You will absolutly die at how wonderful your hair feels. This is gold for your hair.....Serious!
Well that's it. I guess I had some extra time on my hands but I love when I find products that are so great and I get so excited I just want to tell the world!!!
